Things people often ask

Therapy is conducted online via secure video conferencing. Currently, in-person sessions are limited.
I do speak Mandarin fluently, but my preferred language is English. Although I can conduct therapy in Mandarin, I may need to use English to clarify certain terms. I do not speak Cantonese.
Currently I do not take insurance. However, you may be able to request reimbursement from your insurance provider. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network clients, and I am an in-network provider for Lyra Health.
I charge $225 per session for a 50-minute session. If this is a financial burden, please let me know and we can discuss further.
ACT, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, is an evidence-based approach that focuses on building awareness of our innate desire for control, and changing our perspective on our lives through this lens. This enables us to relate to our thoughts and emotions in flexible, adaptive new ways.
People who've tried therapy or CBT before but found that changing their thoughts wasn't quite enough. Those searching for meaning after major life shifts — a new child, loss, trauma, or transition — also tend to do well. An appreciation for irreverent humor in dark times always helps.
