This Privacy Policy describes how Here & Now Psychology ("we," "us," "the practice") handles information collected through this website, hereandnowpsychology.com.
This is different from the Notice of Privacy Practices provided as part of client intake paperwork, which governs how protected health information (PHI) is handled once someone becomes a client, under HIPAA. This policy only covers the website itself: what happens if you're browsing, filling out a contact form, or scheduling a consultation, before or outside of an active clinical relationship.
Information you provide directly. If you use the contact form on this site, we collect whatever information you choose to share, typically your name, email address, and message. If you schedule a consultation or become a client, additional information is collected through our secure client portal (see "Scheduling & Client Portal" below), governed separately by HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information collected automatically. This website does not currently use analytics or advertising tracking software, such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels. Standard web server logs may capture basic technical information (like IP address, browser type, and pages visited) as a normal part of how any website operates, but this isn't used for tracking or advertising purposes.

Scheduling a free consultation or becoming a client involves using SimplePractice, a separate, HIPAA-compliant platform. Information entered there (contact details, intake forms, clinical information) is governed by SimplePractice's security practices and, once a clinical relationship begins, by our Notice of Privacy Practices, provided separately as part of client paperwork.
Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
This site itself doesn't set tracking cookies. Some embedded third-party services listed above (like Vimeo) may set their own cookies as part of normal operation. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.
